Eat & Drink at The Wreckers Retreat Bar
Recently refurbished and full of character, the bar features memorabilia charting the history of Hartland Quay, the many films and TV shows filmed here over the years, as well as details of the shipwrecks in the area over the centuries. Dogs on leads are welcomed – we just respectfully ask that they stay on the floor and not up on the furniture.
Lunch is served from 12pm – 2.30pm and dinner from 6pm with last sittings at 8.30pm. Our smaller, afternoon menu, available during school holidays only, is served from 3pm – 5pm. We offer a choice of roasts at Sunday lunchtime during the winter months. During the busy season, it is advisable to book in advance for our indoor tables; outdoor tables are on a first come, first served basis and are not bookable.

In beautiful weather make the most of our outdoor seating in the fresh sea air for a meal and a drink overlooking the Quay bay. There is so much to see in summer – swimmers, the occasional seal, passing shipping and, if lucky, an amazing sunset!
